What changes when you stream

Playing and streaming are two different jobs for your PC.

The encoder takes a share of the GPU. OBS (NVENC or AMF) runs next to FiveM. A pack that is smooth off stream can drop frames once you go live.
Night is most of your stream. RP servers run a short in-game day, so hours of every stream happen at night. Night lighting matters more than a daytime screenshot.
Compression eats subtle detail. Stream bitrate flattens soft contrast and fine texture. Clear lighting and readable colors survive; subtle grading gets lost.
Your facecam is in the frame. Monitor light shifts with the game image, so a washed-out look also changes how you look on camera.

Check your server allows it. Servers with Pure Mode block client-side graphics. Ask staff first.
Pick your base: CoreFX or QuantV. A pack or preset that names a base needs that base installed. CoreFX setups are common among streamers who put FPS first.
Choose optimized over maximum. Test on stream, not in single player. Drive the city at night with OBS live and watch for stutter.
Judge the look on the VOD, not the monitor. Record a short test, watch it back at stream quality, then adjust.
Hide the ReShade overlay before going live so the menu never appears on stream. Viewers still see the ReShade look, because OBS captures the finished game image.

FPS drops only when live: lower the encoder preset or switch to the GPU encoder, then try an optimized pack.
Stream looks darker than the game: check OBS color range and color space settings match your monitor output.
ReShade menu shows on stream: set the overlay key and close the menu before starting.
Look disappears on one server: that server likely enforces Pure Mode.
